Summary & Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY The Process Engineer is responsible for establishing the Injection Molding process (utilizing the Scientific Approach/Decoupled Molding) and creating standard production processes with machine and quality controls. This includes equipment installs, mold requalifying, New process development, startups, and training of technicians.  
  • Implement automation and suggest process improvements
  • Evaluate processes for improvements.
  • Responsible for mold preventative maintenance program.
  • Develop molding and automation processes on new tooling.
  • Use current scientific molding tools to develop a robust process or problem solve.
  • Create effective work instructions and process controls,
  • Recommendations on tooling, machine, and auxiliary equipment
  • Train & support Process and Setup Technicians

Requirements

  • 5+ years of injection molding process engineering experience
  • Solid understanding & working knowledge of the scientific approach to molding
  • The ability to understand geometric tolerance
  • Effectively works with others to achieve goals
  • Anticipates and effectively adapts to change
  • Shares information in an engaging, timely, effective manner
