Our client has been established for 40 years! They’re experienced with miniature electronic components weighing fractions of an ounce to large industrial parts of five pounds or more. Servicing some of the most demanding industries such as automotive, medical, electronics, fluid transfer, construction, furniture, appliances, electrical lighting, and batteries.

Summary & Responsibilities

This position will play a key role in our business development efforts and will require an individual who is a relentless, self-motivated “hunter” with a passion to build a sales pipeline and grow a small, family-owned business.  He/she will have a strong understanding of the competitive landscape within the injection molding industry and will be responsible for developing new business and enhancing existing customer relationships.  
  • Continuously pursue and prospect new business opportunities across multiple markets
  • Generate leads utilizing industry contacts, sourcing sites, social media and website traffic
  • Develop a sales process that gathers, tracks and manages all leads for new business
  • Present quotes, submit RFQs and solicit timely feedback from new and existing customers
  • Gather all necessary technical information to establish costing for quoting new business
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, pricing and discounts
  • Research, analyze and evaluate market and industry trends for growth opportunities
  • Travel as needed to meet with new/existing customers, attend trade shows or prospect
  • Acts as liaison between prospect/customer and molding facility
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales
  • Prepares weekly sales activity update along with other periodic reports on growth activities
  • May participate in product research and development
  • Help develop a business plan to maximize our growth in key markets


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, technical knowledge of injection molding required
  • Ability to interpret technical documents (drawings, data sheets, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years in selling plastic injection molding products in diverse markets
  • Ability to gain access to Buyers and Purchasing Agents seeking molded product
  • Demonstrated ability to hunt and sell from cold call to initial purchase order
  • Travel Requirements – up to 50% (Covid-19 may limit travel in short term)
