Summary & Responsibilities

This individual will be accountable for strategic account management, and growth of new business.  Primary responsibilities include working with existing customers, targeting of potential customers that exploit our core competencies, lead follow-up, quoting, quote follow-up and working to receive an order from the customer. Travel to customers and for business purposes is required.

  • Develop qualified opportunities based on core competencies and have a thorough understanding of ideal customer and ideal project profiles
  • Utilize CRM system ( to retain customer information, mine for new opportunities, and track opportunities from creation to close
  • Develop and drive awareness of capabilities through SEO, whitepapers, trade shows, etc.
  • Participate in the preparation for and handling of trade shows, seminars, on-site demonstrations, customer plant visits, audits, etc.
  • Work closely with the department managers to support customer success including ensuring sufficient volume of closed opportunities and customer satisfaction after sales
  • Support quoting activity as necessary including developing costing, determining pricing and writing proposal letters
  • Interface with existing and potential customers on product design and development, material selection, tooling specifications, processing considerations, and quality assurance
  • Travel to customers and other facilities as necessary to support sales initiatives
  • Support development of annual sales budgets and review with management
  • Lead and participate in a weekly pipeline meeting to report on pipeline, activity, and coordination of sales activities
  • Provide market trend data in associated space, work with marketing coordinator to develop regular marketing campaigns required to maintain and grow opportunities in the associated marketplace


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical understanding and fluency in medical devices (protocol, development, support, etc.)
  • Technical understanding of Injection Molding
